The IKELITE housing features a gray polycarbonate structure that effectively reflects the sun's rays; the gray color provides high contrast for improved LCD screen visibility, surpassing the viewing performance of transparent or black housings. The transparent rear door, equipped with a visible gasket, ensures a quick watertightness check before diving. Safety is further enhanced by two stainless steel frogs with safety locks for hermetic, reliable closure.

The housing features ergonomic controls: the spring-loaded shutter release and zoom are designed for easy handling, even in deep water. A side plug is provided for the installation of a vacuum pump (available as an option), offering advanced leak testing before diving. The B1A 46002 external flash socket and C1 46071 hot shoe allow connection of a flash such as the DS51, DS160, or DS161 for professional low-light results.

• Macro lenses: external macro lenses with 67 mm threads, such as those from INON, Subsee, or Nauticam, can be easily added to capture small subjects in vivid detail.
• Color filters: 3-inch filters attach directly to the viewport, while 3.6-inch filters are required for some wide-angle lenses.
