Highly treated steel cylinders are expertly immersed in a hot liquid zinc bath. The zinc forms a strong metallurgical bond with the steel and protects the bottles against external corrosion better than any other external treatment. There is no need to paint the bottles. When new, galvanised bottles are shiny silver/grey with various colour shades and an optically irregular surface structure. After a short time, the bottles become darker and more matt.
